How to deal with the internet in Cuba?

I'm flying for 12 days, I need internet for work, going to the lobby doesn't work for me, I read in one article that you can buy a tourist SIM card for 25 dollars with 2GB of data and LTE, is there anyone who has done this?

Do you only have wifi in the lobby of your hotel? Many places even have it on the beach, and it should definitely work in the rooms.

Which hotel are you flying to?

You need to order the SIM card online now.

6gb, 35 dollars, Cubacell, at the airport somewhere right after baggage claim. It works poorly, similar to hotel Wi-Fi. It's enough for surfing and messengers. Pictures and videos load painfully slowly. If you're lucky, you can make a video call.

@Biorobot: It seems to me that they definitely don’t operate at night. They don’t do it quickly; it took a long time for the person to fill something out, about 20 minutes, luckily there was no queue. A Visa or Mastercard is needed for payment. Mir is not accepted, cash is not accepted. I was lucky, it happened. If not, I don’t know how to ask someone. It’s not worth worrying about for 12 days. Either use a separate one, or in extreme cases, roaming 400 rubles per day works as well.

I need it for surf and messengers, I also found on their site that you can order it in advance, like pick up at the airport in Havana. Is it worth it or do they do it quickly on-site? Do they work at night, do you know?

@Biorobot: In Varadero, they have a spot where you can get a SIM card for cash - that's what the girl at the airport told me when my Mir card didn't work.
