Please tell me how much money to take with me to Cuba?
we don't know how you spend and how many of you there are, and the expenses are different for everyone
How many people, for how many days, do you plan to buy rum cigars, visit restaurants, excursions?
Per person. For 12 days, buy rum (no more than 2-3 bottles), fruits, excursions (definitely to Havana, and somewhere else).
@No: I would definitely take $1000. It's better to bring some back than to ask to sell dollars.
@Elena: Thank you! I understand that you have to pay tax almost everywhere? No card needed.
@No: you definitely can't travel without cash, a card is a very unreliable payment method in Cuba.
@Elena: Thank you!
@No: It's wiser to split it into three baskets - €, $, WORLD
@Arue: Thank you!
@No: 700 per person. If you want cigars, souvenirs, paintings - from 1000. It's better to take more and come back with money than to run out of money for something.
Everything depends on your wishes
$3000 is enough for everything
$1.5 for two min.
You will be taking a taxi in Varadero to eat langoustines) and excursions cost quite a bit if from the hotel
It all depends on your desire, how you will relax, I have been 3 times, spent no more than $500 for two people
Thank you!
We took $1000 for both of us, we are bringing back $200.
Basically, it was enough for everything.
$500 went for three excursions.
$300 was spent on 4 bottles of rum, cigars, gifts, and going to a restaurant.
Overall, it was fine.
Don't count on restaurants, nowhere will be tasty, there's no point in spending money.
just unlucky with the restaurants. very tasty both in Varadero and in Havana.
@No: The sea ones are only with TO, the rest can be with TO or with local guides.
Thank you very much! Where did you buy the tours and which ones can you recommend (besides Havana, of course)?
@No: we took from TO Pegas-Gavana, Cayo Blanco on a catamaran. We liked everything. We didn't want to bother looking for guides ourselves, as it was our first time, and decided it was better to go with the tour operator. They will show and tell you, feed you, take you and bring you back… I can't specifically recommend anything because some people were not new to this, and they have been many places, and they formed an impression of all the excursions; we were there for the first time. If you are a young couple, bring a lot of snacks with you; sometimes in the evening, you're tired sitting in your room and want to watch a movie and have chips, but you won't find anything to buy. Chips, chocolates, croutons, sunflower seeds, crackers, cookies… the favorites.
On the tour (Havana for sure and somewhere else), fruits, rum as gifts. Calculated per person.
@No: you can manage with 500, but for some, even 1000 will be not enough.
