Please tell me who rented a car in Cuba?

We flew back with a couple who rented a car in Cuba and spent 10 days touring the island. 80 dollars a day.

Interesting things.

1. There was an incident when a tire was punctured in 4 places at once and "by happy coincidence" there was a repair shop just a couple of kilometers away..

For the repair, we paid 50 bucks...

2. When we were already heading to the airport to return the car and fly away, at some intersection in front of them "by happy coincidence" there was a local Cuban woman on a bicycle and they "hit" her, even though they were standing at a turn and yielding to other cars...

The girl showed her scraped knee and started trying to sell a guilt complex for 200 dollars...

The guy began to try to say that this was a scam and that she had crashed into the parked car herself, but then 5 more Spanish-speaking Cubans rushed over and started shouting loudly (as they usually do when a tourist starts to get upset and doesn’t want to immediately give away their money to help the brotherly Cuban people)... In short, they were already in a hurry to the airport, tired after 10 days, and after 15 minutes of arguing they agreed to give the "victim" 100 dollars, to avoid wasting more time with the honest Cuban cops on clarifications, and then they parted ways.

In general, Cuba is wonderful.

@Sergei: Well, yes, but we need to drive back to the airport where we picked up the car and there fix the wheel for free.

@Sergei: well, that's cool then. It's just that when you punctured a tire somewhere in the Cuban backwoods, you still need to know how to get to the rental point...

@Rus: Well, well. But the wheel repair has never cost more than 10 dollars, 20 is only if you really manage to con a tourist.

@Rus: ANYWHERE! That is, any rental location from the company where the car was taken. When I had three flat tires after a trip to the crabs, I went to the nearest rental point where a nice girl was sitting, explained the problem, she called a larger office, a guy arrived in a Peugeot convertible, assessed the size of the problem, and left me the convertible to drive for two hours. After two hours, I returned the car and they took the convertible back.

Wheel repairs can also be done for free by visiting the nearest car rental point)), and they will either fix everything themselves or simply replace the wheels.
