Melia Internacional, we're relaxing here now. Great hotel, all rooms with an ocean view, except for the food) but it's like that everywhere.

I'm going to this hotel in the summer. I was there in 2019 and was very satisfied. But now I'm reading some reviews and getting upset: they say the place is infested with cockroaches, crawling over plates and beds, it's a real plague; the towels are old and worn out, and there are no beach towels at all... Please tell me, is it really that bad?

@Lyubov': Thank you! We took the level again, let's see what the level taverns have regarding the little cockroaches...

@Helen: I don't see the point in the regular level, if you are going to take it, then the 18+ level. We were at Melia Las America in March and the level there can be said to be like the regular level here)

@Helen: The Cubans are trying hard there. I remember in 2021 I thought what a great room, but they can't even clean the countertop by the sink properly with their supplies. The same goes for the linens; they're clean, but some stains might not be removed. It's not the workers' fault, but rather that their range of cleaning supplies suffers. During our stay, we ate as many shrimp as we hadn't eaten in all our time. My parents were there last year. They complained that there was no wine in the dining hall, no rum, no beer, and as soon as they started a fuss, they opened another dining hall and washed the dishes properly, and rum/wine appeared. They are flying back there again at the end of June. The animation is stunning there, especially the singers. It was truly spine-tingling; we saw Melia International, a little underbooked hotel. And then the whole standard, like the service level, was similar. The only difference was the constant availability of à la carte restaurants. Now it has changed; there are many people. To avoid ruining that first impression, we are choosing a different hotel.

@Helen: We are here without a level in the room with a child. The towels are indeed getting worn out. Once we received dirty ones, but we checked and exchanged them right away. We haven't seen cockroaches in the rooms, but we did notice some running around in the restaurant. The rooms themselves are clean and not particularly worn out, the area is also being tidied up and greenery is being planted. The animation is also quite active throughout the day. This is not our first time in Cuba, so we have something to compare it to. But after 2019, the hotel will seem a bit worn out)) back then it was only 3 years old))

@Poly: I wouldn't say that)) ugh)) but every day it's the same in terms of snacks and side dishes. There are all kinds of meat, but I don't eat it, so I haven't tried it) From fish, there's white, marlin, sardines, seafood (crabs, shellfish, shrimp, crab claws). From fruits, there's papaya, guava, ripe pineapples, watermelons but they're not very sweet even though they're ripe) there are also apples. And there are quite a lot of desserts)) you can definitely gain weight from them)))
