Please tell me, if a friend booked an apartment in a hotel apartment in Paris, can I just stay with her for a couple of days without checking in at the hotel? Or is it necessary to request an additional registration?

Arrived at the ibis hotel in Saint-Denis. To say that we are in shock... is to say nothing. We didn’t even get familiar with the neighborhoods. Please advise which neighborhood to look for hotels?
