Interested in the signs under which parking is strictly prohibited, what kind of signs indicate paid parking and where to pay, and which signs indicate free parking.

@Aleks: You can park on the free parking spots if there are absolutely no items in your car.

@Mir: Paid, guarded. And do not leave anything in the car in plain sight, also a tip to open the glove compartment.

@Mery: This is a very useful comment, while there was a fear of getting a parking ticket, but when you see that everyone does it, it confuses you.

@Mir: Yes, the main thing is not to park where there is no one. It can be dangerous... I mean if no one has parked there and there is a no parking sign, then you shouldn't either. )

@Mir: We received a fine for parking, even though my husband supposedly left the car in a permitted free space.

@Aleks: In Athens, everyone parks as they please. No one really follows the signs, they can park in the second or third row. In the center, there are paid parking lots, I tried to find them but couldn't (not to be confused with paid parking spaces). The only thing I discovered is that in the center, almost everywhere there are parking spots for local residents with permits. But I didn't know this earlier and calmly left the rental car there several times. Nothing terrible happened.
