@Marish: If the total amount exceeds 50 thousand, then it needs to be declared. If it's one person, then per person, if it's a family - then per family. 50 thousand is at the airport. At land border checkpoints, there are their own limits for declaration.

@Marish: Well, read the customs rules. If a solo traveler is going, they can carry 50,000 shekels without declaring it. If the amount is greater, a declaration needs to be submitted. If a family or close relatives are traveling together, then 50,000 is for everyone. If it's more - they need to declare it. One family member can submit the declaration. And why is everyone so afraid of the declaration? There are no penalties for submitting it. It's not difficult and not painful. If you don’t submit, there will be confiscation, court, and a fine.
