@5794: Free medicine (green booklet) is only provided for certain types of borkovki, not for all. Paid - they say it is very expensive.

@5794: If you are from Moscow, you probably won't like it; if you are from a village somewhere in the Vologda region, then it's fine. If you are talking about "free" medicine. Paid services for standard issues are fine, you might even find a Russian-speaking doctor you need, but in another city. For complex cases, you need to go for treatment in Serbia.

@5794: Medicine will be exclusively paid. There are insurance policies, but it's complicated with them. For example, chronic illnesses are not covered by insurance. Good specialists are everywhere, ChG is no exception, but they are scattered across the country, and it can very well happen that you'll have to travel to another city for the right one. For something really serious, people go to Serbia, Bulgaria, or back to their homeland.
