How long does it take to visit the main ruins in Ollantaytambo?
At least 40 if quickly, an hour normally
Two hours paid, 2 hours free. Plus the transition from one to the other
Better to spend 2 hours there, there's also a place to sit if needed. 40 minutes is just enough to run in, take a photo, and say I was here.
We spent about 3 hours there, I think we sat, looked around, took photos, but didn't quite see everything.
@Alisa: I didn't understand which second fortress (or ruins) is being referred to either. We were there today, but we really only had an hour of time. It seems we visited everything we could get into, except for some place Inka Watana, which we would have had to walk another kilometer to reach through a small gate. An hour is a bit too little, of course, but we even managed to pet some llamas.
What are the "free" two hours? Please tell me.
@Alina: On one side, there's a fortified area that requires payment, and on the other side, there's almost the same thing but for free. When you arrive, you'll see.
@Alisa: What a stronghold, maybe you mixed something up? Entry once per one tour ticket, a general one can be used for 16 points.
@Nika: Well, not a fortress but ruins
@Nika: You won't be able to cover 16 points in 2 days.
@Alisa: Not in 2 days, but in 10 days. We took such tickets - 16 points can be visited over a period of 10 days. And some places are located in one area, so most can be explored in 2 days, and the remaining can be visited in the other 8 days.
