I have already bought tickets from March 1st to March 6th, I haven't looked at accommodation yet, please advise where it is worth going, what to see, and how to get from the airport to the lake itself? I do not plan to visit the city of Irkutsk itself. Maybe someone can recommend accommodation?
Tickets to Irkutsk?)
Definitely Olkhon, there you can take excursions to the north and south, as well as from Listvyanka to Peschanaya (Peschanaya Bay).
Your dates are peak season, accommodation needs to be booked right now.
Hello.
Please note that it takes about 5 hours to get to Olkhon. This is if you immediately take a taxi at the airport. On the way back, consider the ferry time. You may have to wait for over an hour.
The nearest places are Listvyanka, then Bolshoe Goloustnoe further.
Slyudyanka is on the opposite side.
You can go to Listvyanka, transfer to the Baikal port. Take the Nerpinetka or another train. Ride on the famous Circum-Baikal Railway. Then return to Irkutsk. There are plenty of options. It's just a matter of time.
In March, why stand and wait at the crossing? Not a ferry, right?
To Irkutsk, yes, but where is the best place to stay?
@Katya: If you have time to explore Olkhon, there are options to choose from. There are tourist bases and guesthouses to suit every taste and budget. Alternatively, you can explore tourist bases on the mainland, near the Small Sea, and easily take excursions from there as well)
