@Yulia: Have you entered the second half of your vacation or not? In Yantarny, a ticket costs 1300 rubles (that is, if you look at the quarry in one part of Yantarny and visit the museum in another part of Yantarny), while in Kaliningrad, a ticket to the Amber Museum costs 350 rubles.

@Ol'ga: The transfer from the museum is free to the quarry and back. We went there on their bus and back by taxi, 115 rubles, because we were in a hurry for the museum tour.
@Yulia: Yulia, just keep in mind that it's better to go to the quarry by transfer from the chamber, and the lake is also not close to the center of the village, but there is a more shaded road there. You can go down to the beach through Moritz Becker Park. There is a wooden promenade above the beach that then goes over the flooded quarries to the Anna Mine monument, and from there it's not far to the museum by the lake basically.
@Yulia: You can go to Yantarny if the weather is nice, so besides the museums, you can swim. There are three museums about amber: 1) The Primorsky quarry with a dinosaur park and the Amber Room at the Rostekh plant, next to the latter; 2) The Amber Castle, a bit tired but has a lot of interesting things besides the guide, and at the last German quarry, Walter, now Sinjavinskoe Lake (where you can also swim and the water is warmer than in the sea), there is a small but excellent 3) amber mining museum. By the way, they bought a blue book about Sambians (which you seemed to ask about above) for 2.5 times cheaper than what I later saw at the airport. The amber products there are by local masters and are priced for amber, not silver or gold.
