Is it allowed to bring cigarettes into Singapore?
It is allowed, but it must be declared upon import.
Any amount of tobacco products is subject to mandatory declaration and is subject to duty. For personal use, a maximum of 0.4 kg per person is allowed to be imported. The fine for each undeclared (even opened) pack of cigarettes is 200 SGD. To cross the border without problems — declare the import of tobacco and pay the tax on tobacco products.
No problems with declaring?
@Alice: It depends on the type, quantity, and composition.
If I'm not mistaken, for each pack of 7 single dollars, customs asks for a "green light."
@Rasim: Are they asking for $7 for a pack? I thought it would be about $5 for all the cigarettes for the declaration.
