Here is my personal opinion - it's not worth it, in the evening in a closed glass cabin everything will be reflecting, there will most likely be a noisy crowd of Chinese tourists in the cabin with you, for half of the ascent you will only see the structure of the wheel, the view from the top is somewhat better, and the descent will again be admiring the structure of the wheel. For a better view, it's better to go up to Marina Bay, from there it is much more beautiful and you could say unobstructed.
