You can rent a very nice place for 50 thousand rupees. If it's long-term. I was a guest. Everything is nearby, both the ocean and infrastructure. Not local style. There is air conditioning, we just didn't use it (didn't like it). The only downside is that there's no garden, only a balcony, and right outside is a street (not a main road).

@Poli: was at the place. The person has been living there for over 2 years. Everything is white and tiled. Kitchen: large refrigerator, stove, toilet: snow-white toilet, tiled, shower, two rooms with air conditioning. 2nd floor with a balcony.
