Hello! Which airline did you fly with and what size is your computer? I have an iMac with a 24-inch screen, I'm not sure how to translate it, Aeroflot said it can't be checked in as luggage, and it's too big for carry-on.
@Elena: Over the past few years, I have flown with the computer on: Emirates, IndiGO, SCAT, Air Arabia. Just a regular desktop computer, fully dismantled. Power supply and cooling in checked baggage, everything else in carry-on. Haven't flown with Aeroflot for about 10 years, can't provide advice on that.
