What to see in Ankara?
- Ankara Castle (castle)
- Museum of Anatolian Civilizations (museum near the castle, interesting, but the entrance fee is currently 300 without the museum card)
- Hamamönü (historical district near the castle)
- Anıtkabir (Atatürk's mausoleum)
- Millet Kutuphanesi (library of nations, there is also the Erdoğan Palace nearby)
- Cable Car (funicular - part of Ankara's public transport, so it is cheap, departs from Yenimahalle metro station)
- Altınköy Open Air Museum (an open-air "village" museum, a nice place, but far from the center)
If you are a museum lover in the Ulus area, there are many to suit every taste and budget, often even free (the museum of the first and second parliament, post office museum, art museum, bank museum, etc.).
There is also the Presidential Symphony Orchestra (Cumhurbaşkanlığı Senfoni orkestrası) - you can attend a concert or just have a look, the building is quite interesting and inside there is a small museum. Nearby, there is also Cermodern (contemporary art gallery) - they often have various events.
