I thought that I need to swim, not just stand still. While I'm swimming, it won't get close. I stood up, looked down - it's swirling around my legs. Today I found out that I rubbed my leg with flip-flops. Apparently, it senses it) I hadn't noticed the fish in the previous days.

You need to move. Don't stand still.

they bite at fresh wounds or where the veins are closer to the skin, probably should not scratch the legs before entering the sea

You need to swim, to move. But if something has kind of bitten you while you were afloat, then it might be some microscopic algae or stinging animals. Sometimes it's like an invasion.
