Please tell me if EU citizens entering the UK need an ETA?

And can you tell me what ETA is? I have a EU passport.
Electronic Travel Authorisation. It is planned to be introduced for EU citizens, where for a fixed amount they will (or will not) receive prior permission to enter the UK. Similarly, as it is done in the USA. And by a similar analogy, as it will be done in the EU for UK citizens.
@Anton: Thank you very much! Do citizens of the United Kingdom enter the EU and vice versa without a visa? I'm just flying with visas for now. When are all these changes planned?
@Anna: It's still unknown. They talked about the end of 2024 - beginning of 2025.
