No. Look it up. Yesterday I bought small denominations of 1 and 2 of the old ones. They said that the new ones do not exist yet. And the denomination is already higher for the new ones.

@Aleksandr: For tea, buying small things, of course small dollars or euros (they accept 1$=1€), for excursions you can already take larger ones. I took: 1, 2, 20. At home, there are still 5, 10, 100. So if there is a chance, take smaller ones.

They usually accept all banknotes from 2003 onwards. It's better to have 2006 and newer ⬆️.

If older, not everywhere will accept them.

In large shopping centers, only 2006 and newer banknotes will be accepted.

In practice, that's how it was for me.

Be careful when receiving change with small banknotes, as they may give you torn or old ones, and you will suffer 😫
